The Shortest Path

Post-Script: Family legend, being what it is, could just as easily be wrong about the Van Cleave family - Central Avenue connection. But what is certain is that, before the Van Cleave's homesteaded a ranch on the east mesa of Albuquerque, early in the 20th century, Mountain Road was aptly named because it was the major route from the Rio Grande valley to the Sandia Mountains, whereas afterwards, Central Avenue became, and remains, The Mother Road.

Typecast via Remington Ten Forty on Ampad engineer's paper, photo via improvised lens on large format camera onto paper negative.
