I'm there with you. My job and for a long time, my hobbies revolved around technology. I was aware of the cutting edge and was often chasing it, but never closer than a step or two behind.

So, without coming off too conceited, I have that knowledge of the edge, but I don't fear it. Instead, I choose to go back to the more basic tools and I enjoy them immensely.

I can attest to getting used to the fat heads on widescreens. It only takes a couple weeks and then you don't even notice it until you flip back over to 4:3 mode.

Around here though, all of the local channels broadcast in HD 16:9 and there are roughly 100 other channels simulcast (e.g. Discovery, History, sports channels) in HD.

Hear, hear! You've hit on something! This accusation of 'ignorance.' As if there is no other reason to object to omnipresent digification.

I forgot to ask, can I trouble you to send a copy of your 'silent type' photo to the PO box inside of the Silent T front cover? :-)

Yes, consider it done. Except I haven't yet printed them, but will "get around to it" (a code phrase implying that I've been spending way too much time on the 'puter and not enough time in the darkroom as of late).
