Masterful description of a few hours of conversation.
That was an enjoyable read indeed.
I lived in Albuquerque for a bit, used to go into the Living Batch Bookstore (?) for a browse and then after that, into the coffee shop a few doors down, where they sold magnificent carrot cake. There were some great secondhand bookshops all around the university. Lovely place, very different (it's never raining in my memories!).
