Down to the Sea

Post-Script: We realized all the places we've had to skip during our trip, for various reasons, but they serve as reminders that they could well be future vacation spots, as well.

Besides our friends in Portland, we have friends north of the Bay Area to visit, then family in Oakland and points further south yet to see; thus this trip serves as more than a mere sightseeing tour.

Today marks the 14th day on the road, with about another week to go.
